Avoid like the plague, the renewal price is in the region of $45 or so. If you click on 2 years, you’ll get an idea what you’re getting yourself in for.

I do not know if were aware of their renewal prices or not but plenty on the net about how they work, Indeed last year they had this very offer but for even less 50 cents a domain, the kicker is in the renewals. I’d be very careful if it’s a domain name you care about.

      Hey Marko,

Yea, their renewals are ridiculous. That is why you have 1 year to transfer to GoDaddy or another domain registrar. Also, there are coupons that will get that price down to a more reasonable one (in the range of $15 to $18).

      Regards!

Add 2 .coms to your basket, the first shows the cheap domain price, take a look at the price of the second domain for 1 year , that’s likely your renewal cost.

Kudos for adding the disclaimer Doncho, if you can transfer the domains out, it’s still a good offer. I’ve heard they offer a slightly better pricing if you try move but given their rep in the domaining industry I would transfer out the domains as soon as possible (after 60 days I believe). I don’t know how easily the transfer out would be, they have a bad rep in the domaining industry. Switch off auto renew !

1and1 have the same offer, renewals are far more realistic and I dare say coupon codes are available for them to take it down further.

Sweet site btw, some great info.

      Hey Marko,

The integrity of this website and in regards to its visitors is what matters to me the most. I was not aware of the whole situation of NS, but now I am. Yea, it is a good deal and yes, 60 days is the period which u have to wait before the transfer.

I read a few posts on the forums that they managed to transfer without any problems via phone support.

P.S. I will look up 1and1 since I really don’t know them and their services. Thank you for the kind words regarding the website.

      Regards!
